Any money owed or money that has been overpaid for estimated service charges will be taken into account when we prepare next year’s charges rather than provided as a refund. This known as variable service charging and is a legally compliant method of charging used by many housing associations.

All adjustments are applied to the April charges and there is no entitlement for customers to receive a refund if they move out with a credit adjustment due in the following year. In the same way as we wouldn’t expect a customer to pay any debit adjustment if they move out before the following year.
